Walter's Eightieth Birthday - Part 2!
For his eightieth birthday, Walter wanted nothing as much as a barn party. Like any great endeavor, the prep makes things seem like they came effortlessly together. This birthday barn party started with cleaning out the shop and the barn. I suspect the shop had not seen the working end of any sort of cleaning tool since the last time we did this seven or eight years ago. Dana, Terri, Walter, and I spent an entire, hot day digging out dirt, trash, and lots of metal. Martha helped too, but she worked outside where she claimed she had more breeze. I don't know that the extra sun made it worth it.
Things were hot and dirty, but we eventually made our way through it all. The shop looked beautiful when we finished. Good enough to eat in!
