Palm Springs - Paribas

We took our annual trip to Palm Springs for the tennis. The trip always comes in early March, those days when the weather in Oklahoma makes one long to be anyplace else. It's usually cold and windy with a few ridiculously hot days mixed in just to mess with your metabolism.

This year we took Jackie with us. We stayed at La Quinta, the nicest place around with intimate rooms and our own almost private swimming pool. The tennis was nice as always, but two of the days got really hot. As always, we enjoyed break.

The high point this year came when we went to pick up our rental car at the airport. I had us in a nice little Toyota SUV since there were three of us and we really didn't need to drive around that much. The desk guy gave me the opportunity to upgrade to a Jaguar that he promised Roger Federer had just dropped of that day. Who knows whether Roger really drove it and who cares? Dana was pretty happy with the situation.
