We arrived early this morning with a wake-up announcement from the bridge. We had less ice than they had hoped, but we knew we might not have much. The larger disappointment came from the small, broken pieces so we knew that no wildlife would venture out. Nevertheless, lots of people came out early (what does that really man when the sun doesn’t go down?) to watch for animals and to see the ice.
