The train didn't run, so the trip to the Open was quite the adventure! Lots of hot and sweaty bodies crammed together, all trying to get to Flushing Meadows for tennis and baseball.
Sitting in the airport with nothing to do but wait!
Dana had an ACOG meeting at the Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri, just about ten miles south of Branson. Located in the Ozarks with hills, trees, and lots of water, it has a beautiful locale.
Finally, Dana's day for shopping! We spent the day checking out the Champs Elyse shops.
We took a day to learn about French cooking at a school with a chef. The shops were wonderful and the food exquisite.
Our last day at Roland Garros we had great weather and saw some of the best tennis.
Our third day at Roland Garros went much better with no rain and lots of good tennis. In particular, Dana got to see Roger playing at his best.
So much rain! We still saw a bit of tennis, but mostly we saw rain and more rain. Oh, and stood in the rain.
